**Datavail** is a database, application, and analytics service provider based in [Broomfield, Colorado](/source/Broomfield,_Colorado).[1][2][3] The company provides services for [DB2](/source/IBM_Db2), [Oracle](/source/Oracle_database), [SQL](/source/SQL), and [MySQL](/source/MySQL) databases.[4] According to *[Inc.](/source/Inc._(magazine))*, the company is the largest provider of remote database administration services in North America.[5] Scott Frock serves as the company's [CEO](/source/Chief_executive_officer). Datavail has offices in [India](/source/India), [Colombia](/source/Colombia), and [Canada](/source/Canada).[citation needed]

## History

Datavail was founded as a [spin-off](/source/Corporate_spin-off) from [Stratavia](/source/Stratavia) in 2008.[6] In November, Datavail moved its headquarters from downtown [Denver, Colorado](/source/Denver) to [Broomfield, Colorado](/source/Broomfield,_Colorado).[3] The company managed 7,000 databases for 47 corporate clients that year.[3] In November 2010, Datavail appointed Mark Perlstein as [CEO](/source/Chief_executive_officer).[7] In 2022, former COO, Scott Frock, was promoted to CEO of the company.[8]

Datavail was acquired by private equity firm CIVC Partners in January 2024.[9]

## Acquisitions

The company acquired Blue Gecko, a [Seattle](/source/Seattle)-based managed service provider, in July 2012.[1][10][11] Blue Gecko operated as a subsidiary of Datavail after the acquisition.[11]

In November 2021, the company acquired Skybridge Global.[12] In January 2017, Datavail acquired Navantis, a [Toronto](/source/Toronto)-based company that specializes in [Microsoft](/source/Microsoft) applications.[13] In March, Datavail acquired Advanced EPM Consulting, Inc., an information technology company.[14] Later that year, in July 2017, Datavail announced the acquisition of Accelatis, an enterprise performance management software platform company.[15]
