**Dastgerd-e Emamzadeh** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): دستگردامامزاده)[a] is a village in [Dastgerd Rural District](/source/Dastgerd_Rural_District_(Farrokhshahr_County)) of [Dastgerd District](/source/Dastgerd_District) in [Farrokhshahr County](/source/Farrokhshahr_County), [Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari](/source/Chaharmahal_and_Bakhtiari_province) province, [Iran](/source/Iran), serving as capital of both the district and the rural district.[4]

## Demographics

### Ethnicity

The village is populated by [Lurs](/source/Lurs).[5]

### Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 3,270 in 831 households, when it was in the former [Kiar District](/source/Kiar_District) of [Shahrekord County](/source/Shahrekord_County).[6] The following census in 2011 counted 3,261 people in 957 households,[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of [Kiar County](/source/Kiar_County).[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 2,810 people in 871 households, when the rural district had been separated from the county in the formation of [Farrokhshahr District](/source/Farrokhshahr_District) in [Shahrekord County](/source/Shahrekord_County).[9] It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

In 2023, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of [Farrokhshahr County](/source/Farrokhshahr_County), and the rural district was transferred to the new [Dastgerd District](/source/Dastgerd_District).[4]
