**Daryl De Leon Taylor** (born 2 August 2005) is a [Filipino](/source/Filipinos)-[British](/source/British_people) racing driver currently competing in the [British Touring Car Championship](/source/2024_British_Touring_Car_Championship) for [West Surrey Racing](/source/West_Surrey_Racing). He is a race winner in both Radical Cup UK, the British Endurance Championship, and [British Touring Car Championship](/source/British_Touring_Car_Championship) where he made his debut in [2023](/source/2023_British_Touring_Car_Championship) with [Team HARD](/source/Team_HARD).

De Leon scored his first BTCC win in 2025, winning Race 2 on the [Brands Hatch](/source/Brands_Hatch) Indy Circuit, driving a [WSR](/source/West_Surrey_Racing) [BMW 330i M Sport](/source/BMW_330i_M_Sport). He went on to win the [Jack Sears Trophy](/source/British_Touring_Car_Championship), narrowly beating teammate [Charles Rainford](/source/Charles_Rainford).

## Career

### Radical Cup

De Leon made his car racing debut in the Radical SR1 Cup in the penultimate round of the 2021, and won two of the three races in the final round of the season. He then competed in the 2021 Radical Intercontinental Cup at the [Algarve International Circuit](/source/Algarve_International_Circuit) in Portugal.[1]

Competing full-time in the 2022 season with Valour Racing, De Leon won the championship.[2] Later in the year, he contested the inaugural Radical Cup World Finals at the [Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch](/source/Spring_Mountain_Motorsports_Ranch) in [Nevada](/source/Nevada), United States,[3] which he won overall.[4]

In 2023, De Leon moved up to the SR3 category of the Radical Cup UK, alongside his [British Endurance Championship](/source/Britcar) commitments.[5]

### GB4 Championship

De Leon raced for Valour Racing in the fourth round of the [2022 GB4 Championship](/source/2022_GB4_Championship).[6] He finished third in his debut race, but did not contest any other rounds during the season, and finished 25th in the championship.

### British Endurance Championship

De Leon won the 2023 [Team HARD](/source/Team_HARD) Scholarship,[7] enabling him to compete in the 2023 British Endurance Championship with [Team HARD](/source/Tony_Gilham_Racing), driving an [Audi S3](/source/Audi_S3) touring car alongside Maurice Henry. Prior to the second round, De Leon switched to a [Porsche 991 GT3 Cup](/source/Porsche_911_GT3#991_GT3_Cup_(2013–2017)).[8]

### British Touring Car Championship

As part of the [Team HARD](/source/Tony_Gilham_Racing) Scholarship, De Leon became a development driver for their [BTCC](/source/BTCC) team for the [2023 season](/source/2023_British_Touring_Car_Championship). On 4 July, he drove for the team in the official [Goodyear](/source/Goodyear_Tire_and_Rubber_Company) Tyre Test[9] Following the departure of [Jade Edwards](/source/Jade_Edwards) from [Team HARD](/source/Tony_Gilham_Racing) after the fifth round of 2023, it was announced that De Leon would take her place.[10][11]
