'''Daniel Atar''' ({{langx|he|דניאל עטר}}; born 5 January 1958) is an Israeli politician. He was a member of the [Knesset](/source/Knesset) for the [Zionist Union](/source/Zionist_Union) between 2015 and 2016.

==Biography==
Daniel Atar was born in [Afula](/source/Afula), [Israel](/source/Israel), to [Jewish](/source/Jewish) parents who had [immigrated](/source/aliyah) from [Morocco](/source/Morocco) in 1956. During his [IDF](/source/Israel_Defense_Forces) [national service](/source/national_service) he served in the [Golani Brigade](/source/Golani_Brigade). He fought in the [1982 Lebanon War](/source/1982_Lebanon_War). He continued to serve in the army reserves, becoming a [lieutenant colonel](/source/lieutenant_colonel).

Atar is married with three children and lives in [Gan Ner](/source/Gan_Ner).
