# Daniel Peters

**Daniel Peters** (born 11 June 1981) is a German politician serving as a member of the [Landtag of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern](/source/Landtag_of_Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) since 2020.[1] He has served as group leader of the [Christian Democratic Union](/source/Christian_Democratic_Union_of_Germany) and as state president of the party since 2024.[2]
