He was born in [Tourcoing](/source/Tourcoing), [Nord](/source/Nord_(d%C3%A9partement)), in October 1921. Langrand was [goalkeeper](/source/Goalkeeper_(association_football)) for [Olympique avignonnais](/source/Avignon_Football_84),{{citation needed|date=March 2025}} after World War II, and later became a coach.

He began his career in Belgium with [SC Boussu-Bois](/source/Royal_Boussu_Dour_Borinage) before joining [AA La Louvière](/source/RAA_Louvi%C3%A9roise). In 1954, he joined [AS Aulnoye-Aymeries](/source/Aulnoye-Aymeries).
