==Early life==
He was born and raised in [Rehovot](/source/Rehovot) to [Jewish](/source/Jewish) parents. His mother is of [Iraqi](/source/Iraqi_Jewish)-[Libyan](/source/History_of_the_Jews_in_Libya) descent and his father is of [Romanian](/source/Romanian_Jewish)-[Polish](/source/Polish_Jewish) descent.  His father, Simcha Gad, is a former footballer who played for [Maccabi Sha'arayim F.C.](/source/Maccabi_Sha'arayim_F.C.) In his teens he appeared in youth theater productions in Rehovot and attended a [secular](/source/secular) school.<ref>(6 August 2025). As a conscript in the [Israel Defense Forces](/source/Israel_Defense_Forces), he served with the [Israeli military ensembles](/source/Israeli_military_ensembles). After his service he studied acting at the [Nissan Nativ Acting Studio](/source/Nissan_Nativ) in [Tel Aviv](/source/Tel_Aviv).

In 2008 he made his film debut in the Israeli drama,  ''[Shiva](/source/Shiva_(2008_film))'', starring [Ronit Elkabetz](/source/Ronit_Elkabetz). He was a series regular on the children's series, ''[Galis](/source/Galis)'' from 2012 to 2016.
