'''Daniel Fishkin''' is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and instrument designer, most notable for his installation Composing the Tinnitus Suites.<ref name="kcrw">[http://www.kcrw.com/news-culture/shows/the-organist/episode-19-composing-the-tinnitus-suites/ Episode 19: Composing The Tinnitus Suites]</ref><ref name="nature">[http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v505/n7482/full/505159a.html?WT.ec_id=NATURE-20140109/ Q&A: Tinnitus tunesmith]</ref>

Fishkin's music career first started with building a [daxophone](/source/daxophone), composing the album You're A Strong One on the daxophone. He has worked with [Hans Reichel](/source/Hans_Reichel), inventor of the daxophone, building instruments and gathering instructions which Fishkin has shared on his website, 3 years after Reichel's death.<ref name="flavorwire">{{Cite web |url=http://flavorwire.com/128636/meet-the-mad-scientist-of-musical-instruments/ |title=Q&A: Daniel Fishkin, Mad Scientist of Musical Instruments |access-date=29 July 2015 |archive-date=18 March 2015 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150318180855/http://flavorwire.com/128636/meet-the-mad-scientist-of-musical-instruments |url-status=dead }}</ref> After working mainly with the daxophone, he started creating [experimental musical instrument](/source/experimental_musical_instrument)s based on electronic circuits to perceive the interactions between light and sound. These photosensitive instruments not only work by interpreting light input, but also by changing sound based on voltage changes caused by human touch.

Fishkin has [tinnitus](/source/tinnitus), which shapes most of his work.
