**Daisy Rebecca Lowe**[3] (born 27 January 1989) is an English fashion model who has modelled for editorial photo shoots, commercial advertising campaigns and fashion shows. She is the daughter of [Pearl Lowe](/source/Pearl_Lowe), the singer-songwriter turned textile and fashion designer, and [Gavin Rossdale](/source/Gavin_Rossdale), lead singer of the rock band [Bush](/source/Bush_(British_band)).[4]

## Early life

Lowe was born in Westminster, London, England, on 27 January 1989.[5] She grew up in [Primrose Hill](/source/Primrose_Hill), North London, and stayed with grandparents to continue her education at [South Hampstead High School](/source/South_Hampstead_High_School), when her mother, [Pearl Lowe](/source/Pearl_Lowe), moved to Hampshire. Lowe has two younger half-brothers and a half-sister from her mother's marriage to [Danny Goffey](/source/Danny_Goffey): Alfie, Frankie, and Betty.[6] She also has three younger half-brothers from her father's marriage to [Gwen Stefani](/source/Gwen_Stefani): Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.[7][8] She is [Jewish](/source/Jewish).[9]

Until 2004, Lowe was believed to be the daughter of Pearl Lowe's ex-lover Bronner Handwerger, but a paternity test revealed that her [godfather](/source/Godparent), [Bush](/source/Bush_(British_band)) singer/guitarist [Gavin Rossdale](/source/Gavin_Rossdale), was her biological father.[10][11][6] Her mother Pearl Lowe wrote about the situation in her book *All That Glitters.*

## Career

Lowe began modelling at the age of two, and did some photoshoots when she was 12 and 14 years old.[12] At 15, she was approached by a talent scout in [Camden Town](/source/Camden_Town) and she signed with Select, a London modelling agency.[13]

In February 2006, Lowe was featured in *[Vogue Italia](/source/Vogue_Italia)*, shot by New York photographer [Steven Klein](/source/Steven_Klein_(photographer)), who also shot her in March 2007 for a [*W*](/source/W_(magazine)) magazine pictorial called "Xurbia". In September 2006, Lowe modelled for the [Urban Outfitters](/source/Urban_Outfitters) catalogue, appeared in [French Connection](/source/French_Connection_(clothing)) [printed advertisements](/source/Adverts) and was profiled in British *[Harper's Bazaar](/source/Harper's_Bazaar)*. She was featured in an editorial in [*Jane*](/source/Jane_(magazine)) magazine alongside fellow model [Lydia Hearst-Shaw](/source/Lydia_Hearst-Shaw) in March 2007, appeared in *Vogue Italia* for the second time in May and, in August, posed nude on the cover of *[i-D](/source/I-D)* magazine with her then-partner, Will Cameron of the band [Blondelle](/source/Blondelle), photographed by [Terry Richardson](/source/Terry_Richardson).[14]

On the runway, Lowe was selected by [Karl Lagerfeld](/source/Karl_Lagerfeld) to model for [Chanel](/source/Chanel), and has appeared on catwalks in New York, [Milan](/source/Milan) and London for [Topshop](/source/Topshop) and designers such as PPQ, [Nanette Lepore](/source/Nanette_Lepore), Sue Stemp, [Charlotte Ronson](/source/Charlotte_Ronson), [Henry Holland](/source/Henry_Holland_(fashion_designer)), and [Vivienne Westwood](/source/Vivienne_Westwood). She has modelled for [Agent Provocateur lingere](/source/Agent_Provocateur_(lingerie)) for the past three years, and has been used by [Burberry](/source/Burberry), [Converse shoes](/source/Converse_(shoe_company)), [Dr. Martens](/source/Dr._Martens), Hooch, [Wheels and Doll Baby](/source/Wheels_and_Doll_Baby), [Ben Sherman](/source/Ben_Sherman), [Frost French](/source/Frost_French), Hari, [Karen Millen](/source/Karen_Millen), [Diesel SpA](/source/Diesel_SpA) and [Whistles](/source/Whistles), as well as for her mother's recent collection of [lace](/source/Lace) dresses.[15]

Of the Whistles campaign, Lowe said, "[It] was a favourite shoot of mine. ... Modelling is a cool outlet for me to express myself, and fashion has always fascinated me. I love that fashion crosses into my other passions – music and art."[16]

She was chosen to be in the 2010 [Pirelli Calendar](/source/Pirelli_Calendar) photographed by Terry Richardson in [Bahia](/source/Bahia), Brazil.[20] Throughout May 2010 Lowe documented her daily fashion and style choices for Vogue.co.uk's "Today I'm Wearing" feature.[21] In August 2010, Lowe became the face of the newly relaunched sixties label Biba.[22] She is also the face of Stephen Webster's 2011 jewellery campaign.[23]

In 2011, Lowe went topless for *Esquire*[24] and nude for *[Playboy](/source/Playboy)*.[25] Also in 2011, she was featured in the music video for [Miles Kane](/source/Miles_Kane)'s "[Come Closer](/source/Come_Closer_(Miles_Kane_song))".[26]

In October 2014, Lowe appeared in a comedy sketch with [Jimmy Carr](/source/Jimmy_Carr) for Channel 4's [The Feeling Nuts Comedy Night](/source/The_Feeling_Nuts_Comedy_Night) raising awareness of testicular cancer. In the sketch Carr lures Lowe to a hotel suite to check his testicles. The sketch also features [Jamie Cullum](/source/Jamie_Cullum), [Lance Armstrong](/source/Lance_Armstrong) and [Rylan Clarke](/source/Rylan_Clarke). She was number 89 on [FHM 100 Sexiest of 2015](/source/FHM's_100_Sexiest_Women_(UK)).[27] She also had a small part in the action film *[Pressure](/source/Pressure_(2015_film)).*

On 17 August 2016, Lowe was announced as a contestant for [series 14](/source/Strictly_Come_Dancing_(series_14)) of *[Strictly Come Dancing](/source/Strictly_Come_Dancing)*. She was partnered up with [Aljaž Škorjanec](/source/Alja%C5%BE_%C5%A0korjanec) and left in week eight.

Lowe started a podcast, *Femme: It's All About Being A Woman*[28][*[better source needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability#Questionable_sources)*] and in 2019 worked with artist Jemima Sara on a related clothing line.[29]

## Personal life

In 2013, Lowe learned [Transcendental Meditation](/source/Transcendental_Meditation_technique) and said [London Fashion Week](/source/London_Fashion_Week) that year "was so much less stressful, so much more fun. I wasn't taking it all on so much."[30]

From 2010 to 2014, Lowe was in a relationship with actor [Matt Smith](/source/Matt_Smith).[31][32]

In October 2022, Lowe announced that she was expecting her first child with fiancé Jordan Saul, a real estate developer.[33] Lowe gave birth to a daughter in April 2023.[34]

In June 2025, Saul and Lowe married.[35]
