'''''Da Storm''''' is the first studio album by American hip-hop trio [Originoo Gunn Clappaz](/source/O.G.C._(band)).<ref>{{Cite web|last=Bry|first=David|date=January 8, 1997|title=Revolutions|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=QSwEAAAAMBAJ&dq=Da+Storm+ogc+1996&pg=PA172|archive-url=|archive-date=|access-date=|work=Vibe|publisher=[Vibe Media Group](/source/Vibe_Media_Group)|via=Google Books}}</ref> It was released on October 29, 1996, through [Duck Down](/source/Duck_Down_Music)/[Priority Records](/source/Priority_Records). Recording sessions took place at [Chung King Studios](/source/Chung_King_Studios), at [D&D Studios](/source/D%26D_Studios), at Platinum Island Studios and at [Unique Studios](/source/Unique_Recording_Studios) in [New York](/source/New_York_City), and at [WPGC FM](/source/WPGC-FM) in [Washington](/source/Washington%2C_D.C.). [Production](/source/Hip-hop_production) was handled by [Da Beatminerz](/source/Da_Beatminerz), DJ Ogee, [E-Swift](/source/E-Swift), Shaleek and [Steele](/source/Steele_(rapper)). It features [guest appearance](/source/guest_appearance)s from Bad Vybes, M.S., [Sadat X](/source/Sadat_X), Sean Black and the [Representativz](/source/Representativz). The album peaked at number 47 on the [''Billboard'' 200](/source/Billboard_200) and number 10 on the [Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums](/source/Top_R%26B%2FHip-Hop_Albums). Two singles were released from the album: "No Fear" and "[Hurricane Starang](/source/Hurricane_Starang)".

O.G.C. members Starang Wondah, Top Dog and Louieville Sluggah gained fame as members of the hip-hop collective [Boot Camp Clik](/source/Boot_Camp_Clik), first appearing with [Heltah Skeltah](/source/Heltah_Skeltah) as '[The Fab 5](/source/The_Fab_5)' in 1995. The two groups split up to release separate albums in 1996, with ''Da Storm'' being the last Boot Camp Clik release after [Black Moon](/source/Black_Moon_(group))'s ''[Enta da Stage](/source/Enta_da_Stage)'', [Smif-N-Wessun](/source/Smif-N-Wessun)'s ''[Dah Shinin'](/source/Dah_Shinin')'' and [Heltah Skeltah](/source/Heltah_Skeltah)'s ''[Nocturnal](/source/Nocturnal_(Heltah_Skeltah_album))''. Of these four Boot Camp albums, ''Da Storm'' sold the least, reaching just over 200,000 copies in the United States.

== Singles ==
"No Fear" [b/w](/source/A-side_and_B-side) "Da Storm" was released as the [lead single](/source/lead_single) from the album. It peaked at number 15 on the ''[Billboard](/source/Billboard_(magazine))'' [Bubbling Under Hot 100](/source/Bubbling_Under_Hot_100), number 63 on the [Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs](/source/Hot_R%26B%2FHip-Hop_Songs) and number 13 on the [Hot Rap Songs](/source/Hot_Rap_Songs). The music video for "No Fear" caused a small dispute between Starang Wondah and [The Notorious B.I.G.](/source/The_Notorious_B.I.G.) as it contained a Biggie [look-alike](/source/look-alike) when Starang said the lines, "I scare, petty MCs who claim they got gats/frontin wit hoes in videos with pimp hats/but the fact, still remains/that you're just a stain on the bottom of my boots while I'm still Starang". Starang was attacked by Biggie's [henchmen](/source/Henchman) at D&D Studios, and later mentions the attack on Heltah Skeltah's 1998 track "[I Ain't Havin' That](/source/I_Ain't_Havin'_That)". "No Fear" was also used by [Beyoncé Knowles](/source/Beyonc%C3%A9) on her 2003 hit "[Baby Boy](/source/Baby_Boy_(Beyonc%C3%A9_song))".

"[Hurricane Starang](/source/Hurricane_Starang)" b/w "Gunn Clapp" and "Danjer", released as the album's second single, has a split video made up for "Hurricane Starang" and "Danjer", titled "Hurricane Danjer".
