**DZRD** (981 [AM](/source/AM_broadcasting)) **Sonshine Radio** was a [radio station](/source/Radio_station) owned and operated by [Swara Sug Media Corporation](/source/Swara_Sug_Media_Corporation). The station's [studio](/source/Studio) and [transmitter](/source/Transmitter) are located along Catacadang Rd., Brgy. Bonuan Gueset, [Dagupan](/source/Dagupan).[1][2][3][4]

On mid-December 2023, the station, along with the rest of the network, had its operations suspended by the [National Telecommunications Commission](/source/National_Telecommunications_Commission) for 30 days, through an order dated December 19 but was publicized two days later, in response to a [House of Representatives](/source/House_of_Representatives_of_the_Philippines) resolution, in relation to the alleged franchise violations.[5]
