**Cyrenoidea** is a [superfamily](/source/Superfamily_(taxonomy)) of [freshwater bivalves](/source/Freshwater_bivalve) in the order [Venerida](/source/Venerida).[1]

## Description

There are approximately 60 or more living species of the superfamily, which can be found in marine, brackish, and freshwater environments.[1]
