'''Currant Mountain''' is the highest [mountain](/source/mountain) in the [White Pine Range](/source/White_Pine_Range) in [White Pine County](/source/White_Pine_County%2C_Nevada), [Nevada](/source/Nevada), United States. It is the twenty-first-highest mountain in the state,<ref>{{cite peakbagger |lid=21324 |name=Nevada 11,000-foot Peaks |accessdate=2014-10-22}}</ref> and also ranks as the sixteenth-most [topographically prominent](/source/topographic_prominence) peak in the state.<ref>{{cite peakbagger |lid=41313 |name=Nevada Peaks with 2000 feet of Prominence |accessdate=2014-10-23}}</ref>  Its summit consists of a series of three spires on a thin limestone ridge, with the southern spire being the highest at {{convert|11518|ft|0}}. To the west are the [Duckwater](/source/Duckwater%2C_Nevada) ([Shoshone](/source/Shoshone)) tribal lands and the northern arm of large [Railroad Valley](/source/Railroad_Valley). To the east is the northern part of [White River Valley](/source/White_River_(Nevada)). The peak is located about {{convert|37|mi|0}} southwest of the community of [Ely](/source/Ely%2C_Nevada) near the [Nye County](/source/Nye_County%2C_Nevada) border, within the [Currant Mountain Wilderness](/source/Currant_Mountain_Wilderness) of the [Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest](/source/Humboldt-Toiyabe_National_Forest).
