# Curran Walters

**Curran Walters** (born January 16, 1998)[1] is an American actor and model. He is best known for portraying [Jason Todd](/source/Jason_Todd) in the [DC Comics](/source/DC_Comics) television series *[Titans](/source/Titans_(2018_TV_series))* (2018–2023).[2]

## Early life

Walters was born on January 16, 1998, in [Oak Park, California](/source/Oak_Park,_California) and attended [Oak Park High School](/source/Oak_Park_High_School_(California)).2 sisters Raquel & Harlow and 1 brother River .

## Career

He began modeling for fashion brands including [Tillys](/source/Tillys) and [Lee](/source/Lee_(jeans)). He began his acting career in commercials for [Samsung Galaxy](/source/Samsung_Galaxy) and the sports video game *[NBA 2K15](/source/NBA_2K15)*. He made his television debut in the comedy film *Growing Up and Down* in 2014. Curran got more roles on television, including his recurring role as "Young Jackson" in the series *[Game of Silence](/source/Game_of_Silence_(U.S._TV_series))* in 2016.[3][4] He also appeared in the first and second two-part episode (8 & 9) of "Girl Meets Ski Lodge" in 2016 during the third season of *[Girl Meets World](/source/Girl_Meets_World)* as Evan. Other television credits include *Too Close to Home* in 2016,[5] *[Alexa & Katie](/source/Alexa_%26_Katie)* in 2018, and the 2016 sitcom *[Speechless](/source/Speechless_(TV_series))*.[6]

He made his second film appearance in the comedy-drama *[20th Century Women](/source/20th_Century_Women)* in 2016, starring [Annette Bening](/source/Annette_Bening), [Elle Fanning](/source/Elle_Fanning) and [Greta Gerwig](/source/Greta_Gerwig).[7] Walters made his third film appearance in the science fiction film for television *Playing Dead* in 2018.[8]

Walters made his breakthrough as [Jason Todd](/source/Jason_Todd), the second [Robin](/source/Robin_(character)), in the fifth episode of *[Titans](/source/Titans_(2018_TV_series))* and had a recurring role in the series throughout the rest of the first season. For the second season in 2019, Walters returned as a series regular. He is the first [live action](/source/Live_action) portrayal of Jason Todd in the character's history.[9] He booked the role after just one audition after the callbacks were canceled.[10] He later appeared as the character in [the CW](/source/The_CW)'s [Arrowverse](/source/Arrowverse) crossover event "[Crisis on Infinite Earths](/source/Crisis_on_Infinite_Earths_(Arrowverse))", alongside [Alan Ritchson](/source/Alan_Ritchson)'s [Hawk](/source/Hank_Hall), via archive footage from the first season of *Titans*.[11] Walters returned for the third season of *Titans*, where his character took up the mantle of [Red Hood](/source/Red_Hood).[12][13] He reprised his role for one episode of the fourth and final season of *Titans*, though he was still billed as a main cast member.[14]

He appeared in the 2019 horror film *Do Not Reply*.[15]

In November 2024, Walters was announced as a cast member in independent drama *Out Come The Wolves*, based on the [Rancid](/source/Rancid_(band)) 1995 [album of the same name](/source/...And_Out_Come_the_Wolves).[16]
