**Culver** is an [unincorporated community](/source/Unincorporated_area) in [Saint Louis County](/source/St._Louis_County,_Minnesota), [Minnesota](/source/Minnesota), United States.

The community is 27 miles northwest of the city of [Duluth](/source/Duluth,_Minnesota).

The center of Culver is generally considered at the [junction](/source/Junction_(traffic)) of [Saint Louis County Highway 7](/source/County_roads_in_St._Louis_County,_Minnesota#7) (CR 7) and [County Road 8](/source/County_roads_in_St._Louis_County,_Minnesota#8) (CR 8), which is also the boundary line between [Culver Township](/source/Culver_Township,_St._Louis_County,_Minnesota) and [Industrial Township](/source/Industrial_Township,_St._Louis_County,_Minnesota). The unincorporated community of Culver also extends into the southern portion of [New Independence Township](/source/New_Independence_Township,_St._Louis_County,_Minnesota).

The [Artichoke River](/source/Artichoke_River) flows through the community.

South Ridge School is located in Culver.

A post office called Culver was established in 1894, and remained in operation until 1989.[2] The community was named for Joshua B. Culver, first [mayor of Duluth](/source/List_of_mayors_of_Duluth,_Minnesota), Minnesota.[3]
