***Cruising Bar 2*** is a 2008 Canadian comedy film, directed by [Robert Ménard](/source/Robert_M%C3%A9nard_(director)) and [Michel Côté](/source/Michel_C%C3%B4t%C3%A9_(actor)).[1] A sequel to the 1989 film *[Cruising Bar](/source/Cruising_Bar)*, the film stars Côté as the same four separate characters he played in the original film, now dealing with much more middle-aged sexual and relationship issues.[2]

Gérard's wife Gertrude ([Véronique Le Flaguais](/source/V%C3%A9ronique_Le_Flaguais)) has finally had enough of his constant infidelity, and is filing for divorce; Patrice is in a downward spiral after his girlfriend breaks up with him; Jean-Jacques is struggling with [erectile dysfunction](/source/Erectile_dysfunction) issues which have led his psychiatrist to suggest that he might actually be [gay](/source/Gay); Serge, perennially unlucky in love, tries [Internet dating](/source/Internet_dating) which may finally change his life for the better.[3]

The film's cast also includes Marie-France Duquette, Chantal Dauphinais, [Lise Roy](/source/Lise_Roy) and Hélène Major.

Côté received a [Jutra Award](/source/Jutra_Award) nomination for [Best Actor](/source/Prix_Iris_for_Best_Actor) at the [11th Jutra Awards](/source/11th_Jutra_Awards),[4] and the film's make-up team ([Adrien Morot](/source/Adrien_Morot), [Réjean Goderre](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=R%C3%A9jean_Goderre&action=edit&redlink=1), [Marie-France Guy](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Marie-France_Guy&action=edit&redlink=1), [Bruno Gatien](/source/Bruno_Gatien), [Nathalie Trépanier](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nathalie_Tr%C3%A9panier&action=edit&redlink=1)) won the [Genie Award](/source/Genie_Award) for [Best Makeup](/source/Canadian_Screen_Award_for_Best_Makeup) at the [29th Genie Awards](/source/29th_Genie_Awards).[5]

It was the top-grossing Quebec film of 2008, and was awarded [Telefilm Canada](/source/Telefilm_Canada)'s *Guichet d'or*[6] and [Québec Cinéma](/source/Qu%C3%A9bec_Cin%C3%A9ma)'s *Billet d'or*.[7]
