Crucible Developer Atlassian Stable release 4.9.0[1] / December 20, 2024; 18 months ago (2024-12-20) Written in Java Operating system Cross-platform Type Code review License Proprietary Website www.atlassian.com/crucible

**Crucible** is a collaborative [code review](/source/Code_review) application by Australian [software](/source/Software) company [Atlassian](/source/Atlassian). Like other Atlassian products, Crucible is a [Web](/source/World_Wide_Web)-based application primarily aimed at [enterprise](/source/Business), and certain features that enable peer review of a codebase may be considered [enterprise social software](/source/Enterprise_social_software).[2]

Crucible is particularly tailored to [remote workers](/source/Remote_work),[3] and facilitates asynchronous review and commenting on code.[4] Crucible also integrates with popular [source control](/source/Source_control) tools,[5] such as [Git](/source/Git_(software)) and [Subversion](/source/Subversion_(software)). Crucible is not [open source](/source/Open-source_software), but customers are allowed to view and modify the code for their own use.[6]
