# Crowsnest Range

**Crowsnest Range** is a [mountain range](/source/Mountain_range) of the [Rocky Mountains](/source/Rocky_Mountains) in southwestern [Alberta](/source/Alberta) and southeastern [British Columbia](/source/British_Columbia), [Canada](/source/Canada).

The range is located south of the [Crowsnest Pass](/source/Crowsnest_Pass), which separates it from the [High Rock Range](/source/High_Rock_Range). It is part of the Southern [Continental Ranges](/source/Continental_Ranges) of the [Canadian Rockies](/source/Canadian_Rockies). Sub-ranges include, from north to south, [Lizard Range](/source/Lizard_Range), [Taylor Range](/source/Taylor_Range_(British_Columbia)), [Flathead Range](/source/Flathead_Range_(Canada)) and [Blairmore Range](/source/Blairmore_Range).

The Crowsnest Range covers a surface of 2,694 km2 (1,040 mi2), has a length of 64 km (from north to south) and a width of 104 km (65 mi).[1] The highest peak is [Mount Ptolemy](/source/Mount_Ptolemy_(Canada)), with an elevation of 2,812 m (9,226 ft).
