The **Crown Fire** was a [wildfire](/source/Wildfire) that scorched 13,918 acres (5,632 ha) of land in [Los Angeles County](/source/Los_Angeles_County%2C_California), [California](/source/California).[2] The second largest fire of the [2010 California wildfire season](/source/2010_California_wildfires), the fire also destroyed 10 residences.[3]

As the fire advanced on July 30, it jumped the [California Aqueduct](/source/California_Aqueduct) and progressed towards homes in [Palmdale](/source/Palmdale%2C_California).[4]
