**Cox's Bazar-1** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Chakaria](/source/Chakaria_Upazila) and [Pekua](/source/Pekua_Upazila), integrating both upazilas under a single administrative and electoral boundary.[1][2]

## History

The constituency was created in 1984 from a Chittagong constituency when the former Chittagong District was split into two districts: [Chittagong](/source/Chittagong_District) and [Cox's Bazar](/source/Cox's_Bazar_District).[3]
