***Cosmic Adventure*** is [Scott Tixier](/source/Scott_Tixier)'s second album. It was recorded at [Avatar Studios](/source/Avatar_Recording_Studios) in New York,[1] produced by [Donald Brown](/source/Donald_Brown_(musician)),[2] following his debut album *[Brooklyn Bazaar](/source/Brooklyn_Bazaar)*. The single "Dig It (feat. Pedrito Martinez) was available in August 2016 and the full album released on September 9, 2016 by [Sunnyside Records](/source/Sunnyside_Records).[3][4][5]

On August 15, 2016, "Dig It" and "100,000 Hours" were featured on [NPR](/source/NPR) for the show *[Morning Edition](/source/Morning_Edition)* hosted by David Greene, during *This Week in Politics*.[6][7]

*Morning Edition* is among the [highest rated public radio shows](/source/List_of_most-listened-to_radio_programs).[8][9] On September 1, the album was featured by the Archives of African American Music and Culture (AAAMC) in the *Black Grooves* September issue.[10]

*Cosmic Adventure* was selected one of the Best Albums of 2016 by *[DownBeat](/source/DownBeat)* magazine.[11]
