# Corry Rocks

The **Corry Rocks** ([70°20′S 71°41′E](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=70_20_S_71_41_E)) are a cluster of rocks at the north extremity of [Gillock Island](/source/Gillock_Island), in the [Amery Ice Shelf](/source/Amery_Ice_Shelf). One of these rocks was occupied as an [Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions](/source/Australian_National_Antarctic_Research_Expeditions) survey station in 1968. The group was named by the [Antarctic Names Committee of Australia](/source/Antarctic_Names_Committee_of_Australia) for [M.J. Corry](/source/M.J._Corry), leader and glaciologist of the Amery Ice Shelf party in 1968, who took part in the survey.
