***Cora viliewoa*** is a species of [basidiolichen](/source/Basidiolichen) in the family [Hygrophoraceae](/source/Hygrophoraceae). Found in Central and South America, it was [formally described](/source/Species_description) as a new species in 2016 by [Robert Lücking](/source/Robert_L%C3%BCcking) José Luis Chaves, and Edier Soto-Medina. The [specific epithet](/source/Botanical_name) *viliewoa* is a syllabic [anagram](/source/Anagram) combining the second syllables of the names of mycologist [David Leslie Hawksworth](/source/David_Leslie_Hawksworth), to whom the publication was dedicated. The lichen occurs in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Ecuador, where it grows as an [epiphyte](/source/Epiphyte) on tree branches.[1]
