The '''Constructional Engineering Union''' ('''CEU''') was a [trade union](/source/trade_union) representing [steel erectors](/source/steel_erectors) and other workers involved in steel construction in the United Kingdom.

==History==
The union was founded in 1924 as a section of the [Iron and Steel Trades Confederation](/source/Iron_and_Steel_Trades_Confederation) (ISTC).  It left the ISTC and became an independent union in 1930.  In 1971, the union merged with the [Amalgamated Union of Engineering and Foundry Workers](/source/Amalgamated_Union_of_Engineering_and_Foundry_Workers) to form the [Amalgamated Union of Engineering Workers](/source/Amalgamated_Union_of_Engineering_Workers), becoming the largely autonomous construction section of the new union.<ref name="directory">{{cite book|last1=Eaton|first1=Jack|last2=Gill|first2=Colin|title=The Trade Union Directory|year=1981|publisher=Pluto Press|location=London|pages=92–95}}</ref>
