**Connor Westley Davis** (born October 20, 1994) is an American [football](/source/American_football) [tight end](/source/Tight_end) and [offensive tackle](/source/Tackle_(gridiron_football_position)). He played [college football](/source/College_football) at [Stony Brook](/source/Stony_Brook_Seawolves_football) and was signed before the [2019 AAF season](/source/2019_AAF_season) by the [Birmingham Iron](/source/Birmingham_Iron).

## Early career

Davis went to [Fallston High School](/source/Fallston_High_School) in [Fallston, Maryland](/source/Fallston,_Maryland), and played [college football](/source/College_football) at [Stony Brook](/source/Stony_Brook_Seawolves_football).[1] He played [tight end](/source/Tight_end), [offensive tackle](/source/Offensive_tackle), and [defensive end](/source/Defensive_end), catching six passes for 41 yards when he played tight end.[2]

## Professional career

### Birmingham Iron

Davis was signed by the [Birmingham Iron](/source/Birmingham_Iron) of the [Alliance of American Football](/source/Alliance_of_American_Football) (AAF) for the [2019 AAF season](/source/2019_AAF_season), being placed on [injured reserve](/source/Injured_reserve) during the season.[3]

### St. Louis BattleHawks

Davis was drafted by the [St. Louis BattleHawks](/source/St._Louis_BattleHawks) of the [XFL](/source/XFL_(2020)) during the [2020 XFL draft](/source/2020_XFL_draft), staying with them until the XFL folded.[4]

### New York Jets

On August 15, 2020, Davis signed with the [New York Jets](/source/New_York_Jets).[5] On August 22, he was released by the Jets.[6] On November 13, he was signed to the Jets' [practice squad](/source/Practice_squad).[7] He was released from the Jets on May 7, 2021.[8]

### Cleveland Browns

On May 23, 2021, Davis signed with the [Cleveland Browns](/source/Cleveland_Browns).[9] Davis was placed on injured reserve on August 23.[10] Davis was waived from the Browns' injured reserve list on October 16.[11]

### Michigan Panthers

On March 11, 2022, Davis was drafted by the [Michigan Panthers](/source/Michigan_Panthers_(2022)) of the [United States Football League](/source/United_States_Football_League_(2022)) (USFL) in the [2022 USFL supplemental draft](/source/2022_USFL_supplemental_draft).[12] He was transferred to the team's practice squad before the start of the regular season on April 16.[13] Davis remained on the inactive roster on April 22;[14] he was transferred to the active roster on April 30.[15]

### Houston Roughnecks

On December 12, 2023, Davis signed with the [Houston Roughnecks](/source/Houston_Roughnecks_(2020)) of the XFL.[16] This iteration of the Roughnecks folded when the [Houston Gamblers](/source/Houston_Gamblers_(2022)) became the new iteration of the Roughnecks after the XFL and USFL merged to create the [United Football League](/source/United_Football_League_(2024)) (UFL).[17]

### San Antonio Brahmas

On February 26, 2024, Davis signed with the [San Antonio Brahmas](/source/San_Antonio_Brahmas) of the [United Football League](/source/United_Football_League_(2024)) (UFL) as an offensive lineman.[18] He was released on March 10.[19]

## Personal life

Davis was born in [Towson, Maryland](/source/Towson,_Maryland), on October 20, 1994, and was later raised in [Fallston, Maryland](/source/Fallston,_Maryland). He is the son of Don Davis and Tammi Jones. He has one half-sister, Sadie Eser.
