***Congratulations!*** (Russian: Поздравляем!, *Pozdravlyayem!*, Op. 111) is a 1975 opera by [Mieczysław Weinberg](/source/Mieczys%C5%82aw_Weinberg) to his own Russian libretto after the Yiddish play *[Mazel Tov](/source/Mazel_Tov_(play))* by [Sholem Aleichem](/source/Sholem_Aleichem).[1][2][3] The plot, closely following the text of Sholem Aleichem's play, emphasises the class conflict to placate [Soviet censors](/source/Soviet_censors), for whom otherwise a Jewish topic may have [proved problematic](/source/Antisemitism_in_the_Soviet_Union).[4] The opera premiered in Moscow in 1983. Present at the premiere was [Vladimir Stoupel](/source/Vladimir_Stoupel), who conducted the premiere outside Russia at the [Konzerthaus Berlin](/source/Konzerthaus_Berlin) in 2012.
