**Comilla-5** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Brahmanpara](/source/Brahmanpara_Upazila) and [Burichang](/source/Burichang_Upazila) upazilas.[1][2]

## History

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, held in 1973.
