He played cornerback, [wide receiver](/source/wide_receiver), [quarterback](/source/quarterback), and [running back](/source/running_back) in high school. As a senior, he recorded 40 tackles and three [interceptions](/source/interceptions) on defense and had 1,112 yards of total offense with 13 [touchdowns](/source/touchdowns).
