Cole Wash started his vaulting career at [Brophy College Preparatory](/source/Brophy_College_Preparatory) in Phoenix, Arizona. He continued on to University of Oregon where he was selected for the [2014 World Junior Championships in Athletics](/source/2014_World_Junior_Championships_in_Athletics_%E2%80%93_Men's_pole_vault). He finished third at [2018 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships](/source/2018_USA_Outdoor_Track_and_Field_Championships), with his personal best of 5.75 m. He finished second at [2019 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships](/source/2019_USA_Outdoor_Track_and_Field_Championships) with another jump of 5.76 m.
