'''Cobbinshaw''' is a small hamlet in [West Lothian](/source/West_Lothian), Scotland.  It is at the end of a dead end road from nearby [Woolfords](/source/Woolfords).

Cobbinshaw is at {{convert|1000|ft}} above sea level on the edge of the [Pentland Hills](/source/Pentland_Hills). Nearby villages include Woolfords, [Auchengray](/source/Auchengray) and [Tarbrax](/source/Tarbrax). It is next to [Cobbinshaw Reservoir](/source/Cobbinshaw_Reservoir), built in 1818 to supply water for the [Union Canal](/source/Union_Canal_(Scotland)).

In 1685 Walter [Lord Torphichen](/source/Lord_Torphichen) sold the lands of Camilty and north and south Cobbinshaw to William Tennant.

==Transport==
It once had its own [railway station](/source/Cobbinshaw_railway_station) on the [Caledonian Railway](/source/Caledonian_Railway)'s Edinburgh to [Carstairs](/source/Carstairs_railway_station) Line. The station was located north of [Auchengray railway station](/source/Auchengray_railway_station).
