# Clyde County

**Clyde County** is one of the 141 [cadastral divisions](/source/Cadastral_divisions_of_New_South_Wales) of the Australian state of [New South Wales](/source/New_South_Wales). It is located between the [Bogan River](/source/Bogan_River) and [Barwon River](/source/Barwon_River_(New_South_Wales)) in the area between them where they join. This is the area to the south of [Brewarrina](/source/Brewarrina), as far east as the [Carinda](/source/Carinda,_New_South_Wales) area. A very small part of the [Macquarie River](/source/Macquarie_River_(New_South_Wales)) and [Castlereagh River](/source/Castlereagh_River) is also part of the boundary in the north-east.

Clyde County was named in honour of Field Marshal [Sir Colin Campbell](/source/Colin_Campbell,_1st_Baron_Clyde), Baron Clyde (1792–1863).[1]
