According to their labels, Clover Records were manufactured by "The Nutmeg Record Corporation", which was part of the Emerson-Consolidated corporate group.<ref name=ers>{{cite book |last=Andrews |first=Frank|editor1-last=Hoffman |editor1-first=Frank |date=2005 |title=Encyclopedia of Recorded Sound|publisher=Routledge |page=199 |isbn=0-415-93835-X}}</ref>  Much of Clover's output were pressed from masters originally recorded by [Emerson Records](/source/Emerson_Records) and [Grey Gull Records](/source/Grey_Gull_Records).  The output consisted primarily of dance music and popular vocals.<ref name=ers />
