# Clongeen

**Clongeen** ()[1] is a village and [civil parish](/source/Civil_parishes_in_Ireland) in [County Wexford](/source/County_Wexford), Ireland. The village is about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of [Foulkesmill](/source/Foulkesmill). The population was 267 at the [2016 census](/source/2016_census_of_Ireland).[2] The village's Catholic church, St Aidan's (or Edan's), was completed in 1839.[3] Clongeen [GAA](/source/Gaelic_Athletic_Association) Club competes in hurling, [camogie](/source/Camogie) and men's and women's [football](/source/Gaelic_football).[4]
