# Clive Pickerill

**Clive Pickerill** (born 19 March 1956) is an English former professional [rugby league](/source/Rugby_league) footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s. He played at club level for [Castleford](/source/Castleford_Tigers), [Hull F.C.](/source/Hull_F.C.) and [Wakefield Trinity](/source/Wakefield_Trinity), as a .[3][4][5]

### Castleford

Pickerill played (replaced by [substitute](/source/Substitution_(sport)) [Gary Stephens](/source/Gary_Stephens)) in [Castleford](/source/Castleford_Tigers)'s 17–7 victory over [Featherstone Rovers](/source/Featherstone_Rovers) in the [1977 Yorkshire Cup](/source/1977_Yorkshire_Cup) Final during the [1977–78 season](/source/1977%E2%80%9378_Northern_Rugby_Football_League_season) at [Headingley](/source/Headingley_Rugby_Stadium), [Leeds](/source/Leeds) on Saturday 15 October 1977.

Pickerill played in Hull FC's 5–10 defeat by [Hull Kingston Rovers](/source/Hull_Kingston_Rovers) in the [1980 Challenge Cup](/source/1980_Challenge_Cup) Final during the [1979–80 season](/source/1979%E2%80%9380_Northern_Rugby_Football_League_season#Challenge_Cup) at [Wembley Stadium](/source/Wembley_Stadium_(1923)), [London](/source/London) on Saturday 3 May 1980, in front of a crowd of 95,000.
