# Cleveland, Quebec

**Cleveland** is a township of about 1,600 people in [Le Val-Saint-François Regional County Municipality](/source/Le_Val-Saint-Fran%C3%A7ois_Regional_County_Municipality) in the [Estrie](/source/Estrie) region of [Quebec](/source/Quebec), Canada.

It was named after George Nelson Cleveland, the first mayor.[1]

## Demographics

In the [2021 Census of Population](/source/2021_Canadian_census) conducted by [Statistics Canada](/source/Statistics_Canada), Cleveland had a population of 1,581 living in 588 of its 696 total private dwellings, a change of 2.6% from its 2016 population of 1,541. With a land area of 123.59 km2 (47.72 sq mi), it had a population density of in 2021.[2]
