The **Clementi Stadium** is a [multi-purpose stadium](/source/Multi-purpose_stadium) in [Clementi](/source/Clementi%2C_Singapore), Singapore. It has a seating capacity of 4,000. It is managed by the [Sport Singapore](/source/Sport_Singapore), which took over on 21 February 1983, and opened it to the public on 1 April the same year.

Clementi Stadium houses a grass football pitch, an 8-lane running track and partial athletic facilities. People can be seen running around the track daily as [Sport Singapore](/source/Sport_Singapore) allows joggers to use the track facilities between 4:30 am to 9:30 pm for free.

## History

The stadium was home to a football club, [Clementi Khalsa](/source/Clementi_Khalsa) in the [S.League](/source/S-league) before they went on to merged with [Balestier Central](/source/Balestier_Khalsa_FC) and vacated the Clementi Stadium at the end of 2002.

Rallies prior to the [2011 Singaporean general election](/source/2011_Singaporean_general_election) by the [Reform Party](/source/Reform_Party_(Singapore)) were held here.

In 2011, [Tanjong Pagar United](/source/Tanjong_Pagar_United_FC) was temporary based at Clementi for the duration of the [2011 S.League season](/source/2011_S.League) as their home ground was occupied by French club, [Étoile FC](/source/%C3%89toile_FC).

The following year, During the construction of [Our Tampines Hub](/source/Our_Tampines_Hub), [Tampines Rovers](/source/Tampines_Rovers_FC) used Clementi Stadium as their temporary home ground from 2012 to 2014.
