# Clare Randolph

**Clare Loring "Dutch" Randolph** (May 2, 1907 – December 24, 1972) was an American professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [center](/source/Center_(American_football)) and [linebacker](/source/Linebacker) for seven seasons for the [Chicago Cardinals](/source/Chicago_Cardinals) and the [Portsmouth Spartans](/source/Detroit_Lions#1929–1933:_Portsmouth_Spartans), as well as Portsmouth's successor organization, the [Detroit Lions](/source/Detroit_Lions).[1]

Randolph was part of the [1935 NFL Champion](/source/1935_NFL_Championship_Game) Detroit Lions team. He was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1984.[1]
