# Claire Wojas

Canadian screenwriter and film producer

**Claire Wojas** (April 13, 1949 – May 19, 2018) was a Canadian screenwriter and film producer.[1] She was most noted for the 1991 film *[Love Crazy](/source/Love_Crazy_(1991_film)) (Amoureux fou)*, for which she received [Genie Award](/source/Genie_Award) nominations for both [Best Original Screenplay](/source/Canadian_Screen_Award_for_Best_Screenplay) and [Best Original Song](/source/Canadian_Screen_Award_for_Best_Original_Song) at the [12th Genie Awards](/source/12th_Genie_Awards) in 1991.[2]

Her other credits included the films *[Cruising Bar](/source/Cruising_Bar)*,[3] *[You're Beautiful, Jeanne](/source/You're_Beautiful%2C_Jeanne) (T'es belle Jeanne)*, *[Water Child](/source/Water_Child) (L'enfant d'eau)*,[4] *[Cruising Bar 2](/source/Cruising_Bar_2)*[5] and *[Stay with Me](/source/Stay_with_Me_(2010_film)) (Reste avec moi)*,[6] and the television series *Un amour de quartier*, *[Jean Duceppe](/source/Jean_Duceppe_(TV_series))* and *[Chartrand et Simonne](/source/Chartrand_et_Simonne)*.

She was married to [Robert Ménard](/source/Robert_M%C3%A9nard_(director)), her cowriter and director of virtually all of her films.
