# Cladiscites

***Cladiscites*** is an extinct genus of cephalopods in the [ammonoid](/source/Ammonoidea) order [Ceratitida](/source/Ceratitida). These nektonic carnivores [1] lived during the [Triassic](/source/Triassic), from [Carnian](/source/Carnian) to [Rhaetian](/source/Rhaetian) age.[2]

## Distribution

Fossils of species within this family have been found in the [Triassic](/source/Triassic) of Afghanistan, Hungary, Italy, Oman, Tajikistan, United States[1] and the East Indies.
