A silver jug found at [Taxila](/source/Taxila) indicates that Zeionises was the "satrap of [Chuksa](/source/Chuksa), son of [Manigula](/source/Manigula), brother of the great king", but who this king was remains uncertain.{{fact|date=June 2024}}

The [Battle of Chach](/source/Battle_of_Chach) was fought in 1008 AD between the [Ghaznavid](/source/Ghaznavids) army of Sultan [Mahmud of Ghazni](/source/Mahmud_of_Ghazni) and the [Hindu Shahi](/source/Hindu_Shahi) army of [Anandapala](/source/Anandapala), resulting in the latter's defeat.
