'''''Chrysosplenium wrightii''''', or '''Wright's golden saxifrage''', is a plant species native to northwestern [North America](/source/North_America) and northeastern [Asia](/source/Asia). It grows on [tundra](/source/tundra) and along stream banks at elevations up to 2300 m in [British Columbia](/source/British_Columbia), [Yukon](/source/Yukon), [Alaska](/source/Alaska), the [Kamchatka Peninsula](/source/Kamchatka_Peninsula) in [Russia](/source/Russia), and in eastern [Siberia](/source/Siberia). The plant was first described in 1878 as being from [Japan](/source/Japan). This was based on material collected along the [Sea of Okhotsk](/source/Sea_of_Okhotsk) presumably either [Sakhalin Island](/source/Sakhalin_Island) or one of the [Kuril Islands](/source/Kuril_Islands), parts of [Japan](/source/Japan) at the time but now in the [Russian Federation](/source/Russian_Federation).<ref name="asdfasdkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk"/><ref>[https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/page/6466629#page/360/mode/1up Franchet, Adrien René & Savatier, Paul Amedée Ludovic. 1878. Two infraspecific taxa have been proposed, both names accepted by The Plant List:<ref>{{Cite web |title=Search results — The Plant List |url=http://www.theplantlist.org/tpl1.1/search?q=Chrysosplenium+wrightii |access-date=2022-09-06 |website=www.theplantlist.org}}</ref>
