'''''Chrysopa''''' is a [genus](/source/genus) of green lacewings in the [neuropteran](/source/neuropteran) family [Chrysopidae](/source/Chrysopidae).

Members of this genus and the genus ''[Chrysoperla](/source/Chrysoperla)'' are common in much of North America, Europe and Asia. They share similar characteristics and some species have been moved from one genus to the other and back again.<ref name = e+g2007>{{cite journal |author=[Michael S. [William Elford Leach](/source/William_Elford_Leach) first described this genus in 1815 in [Brewster's](/source/David_Brewster) ''[Edinburgh Encyclopædia](/source/Edinburgh_Encyclop%C3%A6dia)''.<ref>{{cite journal |author=H.
