Professor **Christopher Howgego** is a British [numismatist](/source/Numismatist) and academic, who has been the keeper of the Heberden coin room at the [Ashmolean Museum](/source/Ashmolean_Museum) from 2006 to 2023. He was also a [Fellow](/source/Fellow_(Oxbridge)) of [Wolfson College, Oxford](/source/Wolfson_College%2C_Oxford), and [Professor](/source/Professor_(highest_academic_rank)) of Greek and Roman Numismatics at the [University of Oxford](/source/University_of_Oxford) from 1988 until 2022.[1][2]
