# Christopher Hellings

**Christopher James Hellings** (born 21 January 1980) is an [English](/source/English_people) former [cricketer](/source/Cricket).

Hellings was born at [Taunton](/source/Taunton) in January 1980. He was educated at [Millfield](/source/Millfield), before going up to [Loughborough University](/source/Loughborough_University) to study mechanical engineering.[1] While studying at Loughborough, he made a single [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) appearance for the [British Universities cricket team](/source/British_Universities_cricket_team) against the touring [New Zealanders](/source/New_Zealand_national_cricket_team) at [Oxford](/source/University_Parks#Cricket_ground) in 1999.[2] Batting twice in the match, he was [run out](/source/Run_out) in the British Universities first-innings for 13 runs, while in their second-innings he was dismissed for the same score by [Nathan Astle](/source/Nathan_Astle).[3] After graduating from Loughborough, he worked for [Credit Suisse](/source/Credit_Suisse), before founding the consultancy company Bailrigg+.[1]
