# Chris Timons

**Christopher Timons** (born 8 December 1974) is an English former professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who is assistant manager of [Sherwood Colliery](/source/Sherwood_Colliery_F.C.).

As a player, he was a [defender](/source/Defender_(association_football)) and [midfielder](/source/Midfielder) who played over a 29 year period, notably in the [Football League](/source/Football_League) for [Mansfield Town](/source/Mansfield_Town_F.C.), [Chesterfield](/source/Chesterfield_F.C.), [Halifax Town](/source/Halifax_Town_A.F.C.) and [Leyton Orient](/source/Leyton_Orient_F.C.).

In September 2007, he was appointed caretaker manager of Hucknall Town following the resignation of [Andy Legg](/source/Andy_Legg). His only game in charge was a defeat at [Burscough F.C.](/source/Burscough_F.C.) He left Hucknall Town for Ilkeston Town in summer 2008 but returned to [Watnall Road](/source/Watnall_Road) in September 2008.[1]

## Coaching career

In September 2022, Timons was appointed assistant manager of [Sherwood Colliery](/source/Sherwood_Colliery_F.C.).[2]
