# Chris Pointer

**Chris Pointer** (born February 2, 1976) is a former [defensive back](/source/Defensive_back) in the [Arena Football League](/source/Arena_Football_League) (AFL). He played for the [Norfolk Nighthawks](/source/Norfolk_Nighthawks), [Toronto Phantoms](/source/Toronto_Phantoms), [New Jersey Gladiators](/source/New_Jersey_Gladiators), the [New Orleans VooDoo](/source/New_Orleans_VooDoo), the [Kansas City Brigade](/source/Kansas_City_Brigade), [Nashville Kats](/source/Nashville_Kats) and [Columbus Destroyers](/source/Columbus_Destroyers).

## Early life

Pointer attended [Louisville Male High School](/source/Louisville_Male_High_School), where he was a member of the football and track and field teams.[1]

## College career

Pointer attended [Kentucky State University](/source/Kentucky_State_University) and was a three-year [starter](/source/Starting_lineup) at [cornerback](/source/Cornerback).
