**Chris Pizzotti** (born June 29, 1986) is an American former professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [quarterback](/source/Quarterback) in the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL). He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Harvard Crimson](/source/Harvard_Crimson_football) and was signed by the [New York Jets](/source/New_York_Jets) as an [undrafted free agent](/source/Undrafted_free_agent) in 2009. Pizzotti was also a member of the [Green Bay Packers](/source/Green_Bay_Packers).

## Early life

Pizzotti attended [Reading Memorial High School](/source/Reading_Memorial_High_School) in [Reading, Massachusetts](/source/Reading%2C_Massachusetts).

## College career

Pizzotti attended [Harvard University](/source/Harvard_University), where he majored in economics. He was selected first-team All-Ivy League in 2007 and 2008.

## Professional career

### New York Jets

After going undrafted in the [2009 NFL draft](/source/2009_NFL_draft), Pizzotti was signed by the New York Jets as an [undrafted free agent](/source/Undrafted_free_agent) on May 1, 2009.[1] He was waived on August 15, 2009. He was re-signed on August 21,[2] only to be waived again on August 30.

### Green Bay Packers

On December 9, 2009, Pizzotti was signed to the [Green Bay Packers](/source/Green_Bay_Packers) [practice squad](/source/Practice_squad) after the team lost former practice squad quarterback [Mike Reilly](/source/Mike_Reilly_(quarterback))[3] after Reilly was signed to the [St. Louis Rams](/source/St._Louis_Rams) active roster.[4] On January 11, 2010, Pizzotti was signed to reserve/future contract.

On May 20, 2010, the Packers released Pizzotti and signed [Graham Harrell](/source/Graham_Harrell).[5]
