**Christopher Colwill** (born September 11, 1984) is an [American](/source/Americans) international [diver](/source/Diving_(sport)) from [Tampa, Florida](/source/Tampa%2C_Florida). Colwill graduated from [Tampa Preparatory School](/source/Tampa_Preparatory_School) in 2003 and dove for the [University of Georgia](/source/University_of_Georgia) in [Athens, Georgia](/source/Athens%2C_Georgia) under dive coach [Dan Laak](/source/Dan_Laak).[1]

He is hard of hearing, with a 60% hearing loss.[2]

Colwill competed at the [FINA Diving World Cup](/source/FINA_Diving_World_Cup) in China in 2006 in the 1m event finishing third. He won the 2006 [NCAA Division I](/source/NCAA_Division_I) national title in the 1m and 3m spring board. He was unable to compete at the 2007 NCAA national meet due to an injury but rebounded to take the first prize on the 1m spring board in 2008. Colwill was a member of the United States Olympic team at the [2008 Olympic Games](/source/2008_Olympic_Games) in [Beijing](/source/Beijing), participating in the 3 meter springboard and the synchronized 3 meter with teammate [Jevon Tarantino](/source/Jevon_Tarantino).[3]

He was also a member of the United States Olympic team at the [2012 Olympic Games](/source/2012_Olympic_Games) in [London](/source/London) in the [3 meter springboard](/source/Diving_at_the_2012_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_3_metre_springboard).[4]
