**Chorakhe Bua** ([Thai](/source/Thai_language): จรเข้บัว, pronounced [\[t͡ɕɔ̄ː.rā.kʰêː būa̯\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Thai)) is a neighbourhood in east Bangkok. It roughly occupies the area of the *[khwaeng](/source/Khwaeng)* (subdistrict) of the same name in [Lat Phrao district](/source/Lat_Phrao_district).

## History

Originally, the area of Chorakhe Bua was very spacious. It covers parts of [Bang Kapi](/source/Bang_Kapi), [Bang Khen](/source/Bang_Khen_District) and [Khan Na Yao Districts](/source/Khan_Na_Yao_District) today. In 1997, two parts of Chorakhe Bua switched to Bang Khen District.

## Geography

Chorakhe Bua is the northern part of the district. Its adjoining subdistricts, clockwise from the north, are Anusawari and [Tha Raeng](/source/Tha_Raeng%2C_Bangkok) in Bang Khen District, Lat Phrao in its district, and [Sena Nikhom](/source/Sena_Nikhom) in [Chatuchak District](/source/Chatuchak_District).[2]
