**Chien Yu-chin** ([traditional Chinese](/source/Traditional_Chinese_characters): 簡毓瑾; [simplified Chinese](/source/Simplified_Chinese_characters): 简毓瑾; [pinyin](/source/Pinyin): *Jiǎn Yùjǐn*; [Wade–Giles](/source/Wade%E2%80%93Giles): *Chien Yü-chin*; born 24 October 1982) is a Taiwanese former [badminton](/source/Badminton) player.[1]

## Summer Olympics

Chien competed for Chinese Taipei in the [2004 Olympics](/source/Badminton_at_the_2004_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_doubles) in the women's doubles with partner [Cheng Wen-hsing](/source/Cheng_Wen-hsing). They defeated [Helen Nichol](/source/Helen_Nichol_(badminton)) and [Charmaine Reid](/source/Charmaine_Reid) of Canada in the first round but were defeated by [Hwang Yu-mi](/source/Hwang_Yu-mi) and [Lee Hyo-jung](/source/Lee_Hyo-jung_(badminton)) of South Korea in the round of 16.[2] At the [2008 Summer Olympics](/source/Badminton_at_the_2008_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_doubles), again with Cheng, they lost to [Wei Yili](/source/Wei_Yili) and [Zhang Yawen](/source/Zhang_Yawen) of China in the quarter-finals.[3] At the [2012 Summer Olympics](/source/Badminton_at_the_2012_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_doubles), she teamed up with Cheng again, but they lost to [Tian Qing](/source/Tian_Qing) and [Zhao Yunlei](/source/Zhao_Yunlei), the eventual winners, in the quarterfinal.[4]

### BWF Superseries

The BWF Superseries, which was launched on 14 December 2006 and implemented in 2007,[5] is a series of elite badminton tournaments, sanctioned by the [Badminton World Federation](/source/Badminton_World_Federation) (BWF). BWF Superseries levels are [Superseries and Superseries Premier](/source/BWF_Superseries). A season of Superseries consists of twelve tournaments around the world that have been introduced since 2011.[6] Successful players are invited to the Superseries Finals, which are held at the end of each year.
